This project started from 2018 until now, it is a periodic presentation of the project that begins from the Mt. Qixing. It comes from Mao’s experience of searching for a pyramid on Mt. Qixing(Mt. Ketagalan) with friends. The experience of visiting, searching and getting lost brings up the artist's imagination to this place. But what really initiated this project is that when he found out that the so-called pyramid is probably just a hill, the gap and confusion between perception and interpretation during observation fascinated him. So Mao started to research, collecting information and field study. At first, Mao thought he could paint a clear picture of the silhouette of the local history by researching, but he ended up getting lost in the enormous amount of data. And gradually, he can’t rationally distinguish reality. So looking back at the progress of this project, maybe the message Mao wants to send is not about the authenticity, it’s not important anymore if there are pyramids on Mt. Ketagalan or not, for him, more importantly, is how to collect all the fragments of history and create a space to reopen the conversation.
